Thousands of Airtel customers in the Channel Islands will begin migrating to Sure's systems on Sunday.

The move follows Sure's acquisition of Airtel Vodafone in 2024.

The migration, which will run through to Wednesday, will allow former Airtel customers to manage their mobile, broadband, and landline services through Sure's MySure portal and app.

During the transition, top-ups will be temporarily unavailable, but all services will continue to operate as normal, said Sure.

'Smooth as possible'

The acquisition came after a decision by the States of Guernsey to temporarily suspend competition law to enable Sure's purchase of Airtel Vodafone in the Channel Islands.

From Wednesday, Airtel customers will be fully integrated into Sure's systems, including bills, said Sure.

Simon Baldwin, chief commercial officer at Sure, said the migration was a "key step in delivering a more streamlined and flexible experience" and that the company aimed to "ensure the transition is as smooth as possible".
