Hollywood stars brought plenty of style (as well as The Substance) to the Golden Globes red carpet, as awards season kicked off in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The ceremony is the first major celebrity event of the year, and a key early milestone on the film awards calendar, which concludes with the Oscars on 2 March.
Fresh from the Christmas break, celebrities are usually in a playful and relaxed mood at the Globes, and ready to have some fun on the red carpet.
Here are some of the stars and outfits that stood out.

Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande starred in Wicked, which won the box office achievement prize

Zendaya starred in two Globe-nominated films - Challengers and Dune: Part Two - and sparked engagement rumours on the red carpet

Demi Moore won best actress in a comedy or musical thanks to her performance in body horror The Substance

Angelina Jolie was nominated for her portrayal of opera singer Maria Callas

James Bond star Daniel Craig was nominated for his performance in romance drama Queer

Other stars walking the red carpet included Monica Barbaro, who plays Joan Baez in the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown

Viola Davis was this year's recipient of the Cecil B DeMille Award, for outstanding contribution to film

A chequered Eddie Redmayne was nominated for his role in TV series The Day of the Jackal

Mikey Madison is one of the breakout stars of this awards season following her performance in Anora

British actress Kate Winslet had two nominations - one for TV series The Regime and one for her latest film Lee

Max Braunstein and Miles Mitchell were invited to attend after winning Glen Powell and Timothée Chalamet lookalike contests respectively

Hit Man star Glen Powell (the real one) also posed for photographs

The real Timothée Chalamet was also in attendance, nominated for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown

Jesse Plemons, pictured with wife Kirsten Dunst, was nominated for best supporting actor for his role in Kinds of Kindness

The Brutalist won three prizes in total, although Felicity Jones missed out on best supporting actress

Her co-star Adrien Brody won best actor and is a hot contender for the Oscar in March

Selena Gomez skipped the red carpet, but was seen inside the event later with fiancé Benny Blanco

Sebastian Stan had two film nominations - one for A Different Man (which he won) and another for playing Donald Trump in The Apprentice

Clarence Maclin, a real-life former inmate of Sing Sing prison, was nominated for playing a version of himself in the drama of the same name

Pamela Anderson was nominated for her role in The Last Showgirl

Aardman duo Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham brought along models of Wallace and Gromit, whose film Vengeance Most Fowl is up for best animated movie

Jean Smart was named best leading comedy TV actress for her role in Hacks

US comic and actress Mindy Kaling wore a glittering gold dress and presented a category during the ceremony

There was another gold dress from Cate Blanchett, nominated for her role in TV series Disclaimer

The Bear star Liza Colón-Zayas was nominated for best supporting TV actress

Nicole Kidman was nominated for best drama actress for her role in erotic drama Babygirl

But Kidman lost to Fernanda Torres, who delivered one of the most critically acclaimed performances of this awards season in I'm Still Here

Singer Maren Morris co-wrote and performed Kiss The Sky, nominated for best original song, taken from The Wild Robot

Also in red was Beef star Ali Wong, who won best TV stand-up comedy performance for Single Lady

Succession star Jeremy Strong was nominated for his role as Donald Trump's mentor Roy Cohn in The Apprentice

The West Wing star Allison Janney had a best supporting actress nomination for her role in TV series The Diplomat

Nikki Glaser followed in the footsteps of Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as this year's Golden Globes host

Kerry Washington, who recently starred in The Six Triple Eight, was one of the category presenters at the ceremony

Scottish actor and writer Richard Gadd was nominated for his Netflix series Baby Reindeer - although he lost to Colin Farrell in the acting race

Jessica Gunning, who co-starred in Baby Reindeer with Gadd, was named best TV supporting actress

Other nominees in the TV categories include Irish Ripley star Andrew Scott

Scott's co-star in Ripley, Dakota Fanning, was also nominated

Actress Glenn Close wore an eye-catching black gown scrawled with white handwriting

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor stars in Nickel Boys, which was nominated for best drama film

Gabriel LaBelle was nominated for his portrayal of TV producer Lorne Michaels in Saturday Night

Sheryl Lee Ralph was nominated for the comedy series Abbott Elementary

Wicked star Jeff Goldblum was one of the few male actors to go more colourful with his tuxedo

Kathy Bates was nominated in the TV drama category for her performance in Matlock

Slow Horses star Gary Oldman was nominated in the TV drama actor category
