Boy, 15, charged after men hurt in disturbance

A 15-year-old has been charged after a disturbance in Aberdeen left two men seriously injured.

Two men, aged 20 and 18, were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the incident in the Bon Accord Street area of the city at about 03:05 on Sunday.

Police Scotland said the boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance.

A 16-year-old boy - who cannot be named for legal reasons - appeared in court on Monday charged with attempted murder, and assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

He also faced charges including having an item with a blade or point in a public place. He made no plea and was released on bail.

Police said inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
