The booking of afternoon routine appointments had been suspended

  • Published

The planned afternoon suspension of routine appointments at three GP practices has been called off.

Doctors at the Ballasalla and Castletown surgeries and Port Erin's Southern Group Practice had been due to attend a training session.

Manx Care said those arrangements had been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances" and would be rescheduled for a later date.

All three surgeries will now operate as normal throughout the afternoon, including offering routine appointments.

Patients will also be able to continue to make any future routine appointments, request test results or order repeat prescriptions.

The healthcare provider has apologised for any inconvenience to patients caused by the now-postponed training session.

The similar suspensions of appointments took place at the Peel, Palatine, Hailwood, Finch Hill, Kensington, Snaefell, Village Walk and Laxey surgeries earlier in April.
