A Post Office was robbed by a man believed to have been armed with a gun, police have said.

Cash was stolen from the branch in Holt Heath, Worcestershire, after a man entered the premises and threatened a staff member at about 09:40 BST on Tuesday.

He was dressed all in black, with black paint on his face, and was thought to have been in possession of a handgun, West Mercia Police said.

DC Elle May, from Worcester CID, said the robbery caused "distress" to the staff member but nobody was injured.

Officers have issued an appeal in a bid to identify the man and a black Renault Clio, which was seen nearby at the time of the incident.
