TT course road closed for removal of dangerous tree

A section of the TT course linking the north and west of the Isle of Man has been closed for works to remove a dangerous tree.
The emergency road closure has been put in place from Rhencullen, just outside Kirk Michael, between both junctions of the Orrisdale Loop Road until 13:00 BST.
Traffic was diverted along that road during the works, however the Department of Infrastructure said the route was not suitable for HGVs or large vehicles.
The department said the tree, in the area of Bishops Court, posed “a danger of falling on to the highway”.
Some bus services between Peel and Ramsey have also been disrupted by the closure.
Mid-morning journeys from Douglas terminated and started in the west.
Later services between the two towns are subject to delays.
