E-scooter rider critically injured in crash

An e-scooter rider remains in hospital in a critical condition after being hit by a car.
The man in his 50s collided with a grey Ford Focus in Great Yarmouth at the junction of St Peters Road and King Street at about 13:45 BST on Saturday.
Norfolk Police said he was taken to the James Paget University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Under UK law, external, private e-scooters are illegal to use on public roads, while rental scooters can only be used in areas permitted as part of a national trial.
An e-scooter trial ran in Great Yarmouth until January when the company that operated it pulled out.
