Young boy cycling alone near traffic in Dundee identified

Concerned members of the public contacted the police after seeing the boy

Police investigating a sighting of a young boy cycling alone near traffic in Dundee without a helmet said the child has been identified.
The boy, who police said at the time was aged between four and six, was seen cycling near traffic at Kings Cross Road and Kingsway Retail Park during Saturday afternoon.
Detectives said they had now identified the boy and spoken to his family, adding that no further action was required.
Officers had attended the scene following concern from members of the public, but the boy was no longer there.
Police have thanked the public for their assistance.
