Budding artists of all ages have been invited to submit their creations for an exhibition in Surrey.

Spelthorne Artists Unlocked is looking for art that "celebrates the creativity, diversity and vibrancy of the borough", said Spelthorne Borough Council.

Photos, paintings and drawings will be displayed on the digital screens in the Elmsleigh Shopping Centre on 22 and 23 March.

Councillor Susan Doran, chair of the community wellbeing and housing committee, said: "This is a unique opportunity for residents, whether you see yourself as a beginner or already an established artist, why not showcase your skills and give it a go!"

The weekend event will include pop-up workshops, live demonstrations and performances.

The public will vote for their favourite digital artwork and the winner will receive a £100 Hobbycraft voucher.

Closing date for entries is 28 February.
