A transport company has gone into administration with the loss of more than 100 jobs in Herefordshire.

WSH Logistics in Ledbury ceased trading following the appointment of joint administrators, Stephanie Baker and Alistair Wardell of Grant Thornton UK Advisory & Tax, on 8 October.

A spokesperson said it followed a "period of financial difficulty". They added: "Despite efforts to explore and attract new investment, without immediate additional funding or the ability to explore alternative options, the company was placed into administration."

The company employed 107 people; most of them were let go immediately, but Grant Thornton said some remained to assist with the wind-down of the company.

The administrators added that they were engaging with stakeholders.
