Two arrested after woman pushed down stairs in Belfast

Two people have been arrested following an aggravated burglary in west Belfast on Sunday morning.

A man in his 20s is believed to have been stabbed during the incident and a woman, also in her 20s, was pushed down the stairs.

Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The burglary happenedd in the Gardenmore Walk area shortly before 03:10 BST.

Police received a report that a man and a woman, armed with a knife and a baton, entered a property in the area.

A number of windows were damaged during the incident.

A 48-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman have been arrested and are assisting police with their enquiries.
