A man has been arrested over a suspected arson attack at a supermarket.
Two neighbouring buildings had to be evacuated and people in the area in Stoke-on-Trent were advised to keep their windows and doors closed as a precaution.
Fire crews were called after smoke and flames were seen coming from the Farmfoods shop on Moorland Road in Burslem, shortly after 13:45 BST on Thursday
A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson later on Thursday, according to Staffordshire Police.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said a full inspection into the cause of the fire was due to begin.
