Many train services into Bristol Temple Meads Station were either cancelled or delayed following an incident earlier.

Great Western Railway (GWR) announced just before 16:00 BST that all lines were blocked, with the disruption expected to last until at least 18:30.

GWR said a person had been struck by a train, adding that emergency services were onsite. At 15:09 it said all lines have now reopened but many services are cancelled or delayed by up to 45 minutes.

The operator said further updates would be posted on its website and that it was looking at other public transport options that might be able to help stranded passengers.
