Police investigating reports of racist graffiti sprayed on three properties in Ballykelly have said they are treating the incidents as hate crimes.

The graffiti is believed to have been sprayed on the walls of a property in Fort Drive and two properties in the Forest Drive area between 03.00 BST and 04.00 on Tuesday.

"We are treating these reports as not only criminal damage, but as hate crimes which are totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our local community,” PSNI Inspector Roxborough said.

Police have appealed to anyone with information to contact them.
