About 200 hair extensions have been stolen from a salon in Liverpool in what police described as a "high value" burglary.

Three people broke into Girlboss, on Aigburth Road in the Cressington area of the city at about 22:00 BST on 14 August.

They escaped out of the back of the hairdressers and fled in a car from Fletcher Drive, Merseyside Police said.

Det Insp Neil Dillon said the raid would have had a "huge impact" on the salon.

He appealed for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward, adding: "Stealing from a business is not a victimless crime."

“Even the smallest of detail could prove vital to our ongoing inquiries,” he said.
