An 82-year-old man who was killed in a crash when he was walking on a road will be "sadly missed", his family said.

Geoff Corden died when he was hit by a silver Volvo on Selborne Road in Leek, Staffordshire, shortly before 18:00 BST on 22 May.

His family said they extended their "heartfelt thanks" to the members of the public and emergency services who tried to help him at the scene.

"Geoff will be sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends," they added.

Staffordshire Police said they were keen to speak to anyone who was travelling in the area at the time or who might have dashcam footage.
