Men charged over pedestrian's death in 2024 crash

Two men have been charged after a pedestrian died following a crash involving two cars and a pickup truck in 2024.

The crash involving a silver Audi TT Quattro, a grey BMW 218I and a blue Isuzu D-Max happened on the A350 Main Road near Compton Abbas, Dorset on 6 June 2024 shortly after 19:45 BST.

Dean McCormack, 62, from Warminster, Wiltshire died at the scene.

Dorset Police said Nathan Reeman, 21, of Shaftesbury and Bradley Thomas, 22, of Mere in Wiltshire had both been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. They are due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on 31 October.

Sgt Mike Burt, of the serious collision investigation team at Dorset Police, said: "Our thoughts remain with the family and the loved ones of Dean McCormack."

In a tribute released at the time, his partner and family said Mr McCormack was a talented engineer and artist, producing many stunning pictures.
