A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after four men were injured in armed disorder.

The 46-year-old was detained in connection with the incident on Reedswood Lane, Walsall, on 31 July, during which one man was shot and three others suffered stab wounds.

The arrest was made after a car was stopped on West Bromwich Road, Walsall, on Friday, West Midlands Police said.

A second man, 24, was also arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon after an axe was recovered.

Seven people had previously been arrested in relation to the armed disorder including one man who was later charged with five counts of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

The other six were released on conditional bail pending further police inquiries.
