A Nottinghamshire park has been closed off after a teenager was stabbed during a robbery.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing close to the Pirate Play Park, off Hucknall Road, Bulwell, at around 23:55 BST.

A 19-year-old was playing basketball when he was approached by three masked youths who stole his bag and phone, officers said.

The teenager ran away but suffered a stab wound to his body and a cut to his face.

Nottinghamshire Police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The force said a cordon remains at the park while investigations take place and an increased police presence will be seen in the area over the coming days.
