A council is surveying members of the armed forces community in order to understand their "attitudes, feelings, and experiences."

City of Wolverhampton Council's joint strategic needs assessment is seeking the input of past and present army personnel in the city to "better understand [their] unique needs".

Three separate surveys directed at veterans, people currently serving, and family members are open until Monday 19 August.

The council said the information collected would remain anonymous and "used solely to inform service development".

Councillor Greg Brackenridge, chair of Wolverhampton's Armed Forces Covenant Board, said: "We urge all members of the armed forces community in Wolverhampton to participate in the survey and encourage others to do the same.

"Your input is crucial. By sharing your experiences and needs, you can help shape future services and ensure that they are relevant and effective."
