Plans to keep Devon festival for five more years

Plans have been put in place for a Plymouth music event to return for the next five years, a council has said.
Plymouth City Council's leader said the authority received "phenomenal feedback" after Summer Sessions, which took place on the Hoe last week.
The event, run by the firm Live Nation, included headliners Tom Jones, Bryan Adams, Madness and Sting.
Leader of the Labour-led council Tudor Evans said he wanted to ensure the open-air music concerts continued to return the city and said he had asked the council’s events team to begin to negotiate a five-year deal with Live Nation.
He said he had received positive feedback from organisers, local people and visitors who travelled for the four-day series of concerts at the city's seafront.
He said: “The Hoe is known around the world. It has stunning views out to sea and Plymouth Sound’s National Marine Park.
“It provided the perfect backdrop for performers of the calibre we have enjoyed over the past few days.”
