Two boys have been arrested by police investigating the rape of a teenage girl at a railway station at the weekend.

The attack took place in toilets at Nuneaton Railway Station at about 17:50 GMT on Sunday, the Warwickshire force said.

Two boys from the local area, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of rape and would be questioned, officers added.

They continued to appeal for anyone with further information on what happened to contact them.

Det Insp Owen Fell said: "This has been a complex investigation with a teenage victim and teenage suspects.

"I would like to thank the public for their support and understanding while we have conducted sensitive enquiries to locate these suspects."
