Three people have been arrested following a hit-and-run which left a man with serious injuries.

Kent Police said the 65-year-old was struck as he was walking in the North Lane area in Faversham and the vehicle fled the scene.

Emergency services were called at about 19:50 BST on Saturday close to the junction with Partridge Lane, where the man was found with serious injuries.

He was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "Three people have since been arrested in connection with the collision and taken into custody.

"A white Nissan flatbed/tipper van has also been seized."

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
