A fire has destroyed the roof of a house in Coventry, prompting the fire service to ask residents to avoid the location.

Crews were called to Wyken Way at about 03:00 BST on Thursday, with firefighters from five stations attending.

West Midlands Fire Service said the blaze was brought under control and there were no casualties.

The road, which closed during the operation, has since reopened, although firefighters remain on watch at the scene.
