Devon and Cornwall Police is urging drivers not to travel unless absolutely essential.

In a post on X, external, the force said officers were responding to several collisions due to heavy snow and icy conditions.

The advice comes after a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across parts of Devon and Cornwall.

Police added the A30 was "particularly affected by snow between Okehampton and Bodmin, along with some roads on Dartmoor".

National Highways said on X, external the A30 in Cornwall was closed westbound between the A3047 near Redruth east and A3047 near Redruth west due to a collision.
