A motorbike rider has died after a collision with a car in Keighley, police said.

Terry Stevens, from Littleborough, was riding a Yamaha motorbike which collided with a VW Golf on Skipton Road shortly before 17:00 BST on Friday.

Mr Stevens, 69, was taken to hospital with a serious leg injury and died in the early hours of Sunday, West Yorkshire Police said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the force's Major Collision Inquiry Team.

Police said the VW Golf was turning right out of Strawberry Street onto Skipton Road away from the town centre when it collided with the motorbike, which was heading towards the town centre.

Officers are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of a blue Nissan Qashqai seen on Skipton Road at the time of the crash.
