Arson arrest as bus doused in fuel and set on fire

The arrested man was injured during the incident and taken to hospital

An arrest has been made following reports that a man poured petrol on a bus and set it alight.

Police attended the incident on Chesterfield Road in Sheffield at about 13:00 BST.

The 37-year-old was taken to hospital with injuries, and arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

South Yorkshire Police said work was ongoing to understand the circumstances of the incident.
