Electric bus trialled in Guernsey

A new fully zero emissions electric bus is being trialled in Guernsey.
The island is the first place for the Enviro 100 by Alexander Dennis to be tested.
The states said it was the latest in a series of trials of new buses in the island, with a view to introducing them to the fleet.
Deputy Adrian Gabriel, the vice president of Environment and Infrastructure, said the bus was suited to the island's roads.
He said: "This has been specifically developed for islands with smaller roads for that type of market so it is particularly interesting to see how it's going to cope with the trial."
The trial bus is 8.5m (27ft 8in) and 2m (6ft 5in) wide, with a range of nearly 300 mile (482km).
Electric buses are also being trialled in Jersey, where two are already in service.
Kevin Hart, director of CT Plus in Guernsey and Liberty Bus in Jersey, said: "It’s great news that Guernsey is the first to trial the Envrio100EV, this shows the continued commitment manufactures have to finding the right solution for the island.
"The bus has an impressive capacity for its small size... The previous vehicles we trialled had great manoeuvrability however with its door positioned in front of the front wheels the Enviro100EV should be far better to manoeuvre."
