A new zero-emission bus is being trialled in Jersey.

This latest wheelchair accessible model, the Yutong E9, is slightly longer than the previous one trialled and can seat up to 62 passengers.

The electric bus is being tested on all routes on the island this week.

Ian Downie, head of Yutong UK, said he hoped the bus would encourage the travelling public to leave their cars at home and "further decarbonise Jersey".

LibertyBus said the bus could be fully charged in two hours and could drive more than 195 miles (314km) on a single charge.

Kevin Hart, director for LibertyBus said: "Whilst we already have two electric buses in service, we feel it is important to try other vehicles on the market to find the right solution for Jersey."

Earlier, the bus was on display at Liberation Station.
