Family pay tribute to pedestrian hit by van

A woman who died after being hit by a van "helped countless people throughout her life", her family has said.
Christine Bridson, 72, was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a white Mercedes sprinter van in Hoylake, Wirral, at 13:45 BST on 30 September.
Merseyside Police said a 51-year-old man, from Wirral, arrested on suspicion of death by careless driving had since been released under investigation.
Paying tribute, her family said Ms Bridson "was a mother, a sister, an auntie and a friend".
“She was also a well respected trade unionist who helped countless people throughout her life.
"She will be very much missed.”
Det Sgt Kurt Timpson has urged anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue into the crash on Birkenhead Road at the junction with Lee Road.
