Hours will be reduced at a Lincolnshire swimming pool because of "essential" repairs during the summer holidays.

The pool at Bourne Leisure Centre will undergo a series of temporary closures on weekdays between 12 August and 4 September.

Early morning and evening sessions will be retained and the gym, studio and sports hall will operate as usual, South Kesteven District Council said.

A spokesperson for LeisureSK, which operates the centre, said roof coverings would be repaired and new roof lights installed.

“We apologise for any inconvenience during this summer holiday period," the spokesperson added.

The pool will close between 08:00 and 16:00 BST on the following dates:

  • 12 to 16 August

  • 19 to 23 August

  • 27 to 30 August

  • 2 to 4 September

Swimming sessions will continue between 06:00 and 08:00, as well as after 16:00. Weekends will not be affected.
