Appeal after spate of vehicle break-ins in Torbay

A spate of vehicle break-ins in Torbay has seen reports of cars being smashed and items stolen, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were aware of reports of several vehicles being damaged in the early hours of Wednesday 3 July.

Officers said break-ins happened in Chelston area of Torquay, as well as Cockington, Paignton and Kingskerswell.

The force added: "During the break-ins, windows were smashed and cars’ contents rummaged through. Some items were then stolen."
