Tribute to mobility scooter rider killed in crash

The family of a man who died when his mobility scooter crashed with a car in Hertfordshire have paid tribute to a "loved father, grandfather, uncle and brother".

Keith Whiting was in Queensway, Hatfield, on 15 August when it happened.

Emergency services were called to a traffic light-controlled crossing by the shopping centre on Queensway.

Mr Whiting, 79, was treated at the scene but was declared dead soon afterwards.

Hertfordshire Police has appealed for witnesses.

In a tribute, Mr Whiting's family said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Keith Whiting of Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

"A loved father, grandfather, uncle and brother, he will be sadly missed by family and all his friends."
