A 24-year-old woman has died in a crash after suffering what was believed to have been a medical episode, police said.

The incident happened on the Chorley Old Road in Bolton, Greater Manchester, at around 19:00 BST on Tuesday.

Greater Manchester Police said the woman died at the scene after a car travelling eastbound was believed to have lost control and collided with a wall.

They appealed for anyone with information or video footage to contact them.

"No other vehicles were involved and it is believed she may have had a suspected medical episode," a GMP spokesperson said.
