A Northallerton family said they were "absolutely devastated" after their rescue sheep was stolen.
Phoebe Barrett said the Texel ewe, named Blossom, was taken from a field in Little Langton on Tuesday.
She said a white Ford Transit van was seen driving around the area on the morning the sheep vanished.
Ms Barrett said she was "heartbroken thinking of what fate she may have endured".
She said in a Facebook post: "Our rescue sheep, Blossom, has been stolen from us and we are absolutely devastated.
"We are infuriated and also heartbroken thinking of what fate she may have endured.
"We’re desperate and wondering if anyone has had any experience with anything like this and can help at all?"
North Yorkshire Police confirmed they had received reports of a white Ford Transit van in the area, adding anyone with any information about the sheep should get in touch.
