Elderly driver killed in two-car crash

A man in his 80s has died in a two-car crash on the A591.
The crash, which involved a Peugeot 108 and a Volkswagen Golf, happened close to Winter Lane near Kendal, Cumbria, shortly before 15:30 BST on Saturday.
The driver of the Peugeot was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver, a man in his 20s, suffered non-serious injuries.
Cumbria Police said officers were investigating the crash and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
