Two people have been arrested after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed near a tram stop in Nottingham.
Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to reports of a stabbing on a footpath near the Highbury Vale stop in Basford at about 22:45 BST on Tuesday.
Police said the victim went to the Queen's Medical Centre with several wounds but his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The force said on Thursday that two boys, 14 and 16, had been detained on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and remain in custody.
According to officers, the victim reported being with a friend when three males approached and tried to rob them before a scuffle broke out.
Det Sgt Robert Palethorpe said: "Dedicated teams of officers have been working hard using all the investigative tools at our disposal and neighbourhood teams have also been deployed on additional patrols.
"We're grateful to those who have already provided information but would urge anyone else who can assist to get in touch without delay."
