Trial date set for two men accused of rape

Two men accused of raping a woman in York are set to stand trial next year.

Fahim Khan, 18, and Zaid Zahir, 20, are said to have attacked the woman in the Piccadilly and North Street areas of the city in the early hours of 28 August.

During a hearing at York Crown Court, both men pleaded not guilty to the charge, with a trial date set for 17 February.

Mr Khan, of Thorpe Lane, Cawood, and Mr Zahir, of Roseberry Street, York, have been remanded in custody ahead of their next appearance.
