Motorway at a standstill after vehicle overturns

An overturned vehicle following a crash has resulted in long rush-hour delays on the M60 in Greater Manchester.

National Highways North West said the "multi-vehicle collision" happened at about 07:00 GMT near junction 25 for the A560 Crookilley Way on the clockwise carriageway.

It warned there were about three miles of congestion approaching the scene, with traffic building up between junctions 26 and 27.

On the M62, meanwhile, two lanes were closed on the westbound carriageway from junction 12 for the Eccles Interchange to junction 11 for Birchwood following a crash at about 07:20 GMT.
