A new operator has been appointed to run a beachside lido from next year.

Jersey's minister for infrastructure, Connétable Andy Jehan, said First Point had been chosen to operate Havre des Pas Bathing Pool, securing the future of the facility.

The current occupier of the lido has a licence to operate it until 25 December and has been given notice to vacate the premises by then, the government said.

It said First Point had a history of managing beachside and community facilities and would take on the lease from 2026.

Connétable Jehan said: "This agreement, following a thorough process, gives the lido the fresh start that everyone has recognised is needed.

"I'm grateful to all parties who participated in the expressions of interest process and look forward to working constructively with First Point."
