Man charged with breaching town's dispersal order

A 48-hour dispersal order was in place for much of Sutton-in-Ashfield town centre

A 51-year-old man is due to appear in court accused of breaching a dispersal order in a Nottinghamshire town.

Police in Sutton-in-Ashfield implemented a 48-hour dispersal order on Saturday following reports of anti-social behaviour and "altercations".

Nottinghamshire Police said a man was detained on suspicion of failing to comply with the dispersal notice and was later charged.

The suspect, of no fixed address, is due to appear at Mansfield Magistrates' Court on 12 February.
