A trailer full of surfboards has been stolen from a beach near Bude, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a blue and white OA Surf Club trailer, which contained 34 boards, was taken from the Widemouth Beach car park between 16:30 GMT on Friday 6 December and 11:00 on Saturday 7 December.

The surfboards were worth about £15,000 in total, officers said.

Police said they were "keen to hear from anyone who may have bought a trailer or surfboard similar to in the attached photograph in recent days".

Officers said they were urging anyone to get in touch who had CCTV or doorbell footage, or who noticed suspicious behaviour in the area around the time of the theft.
