The death of a man believed to have fallen off his bike has prompted a police inquiry and appeal for information.

A report was received on Friday of a 78-year-old who was found on Peopleton Lane in the Upton Snodsbury area of Worcestershire.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and by Thursday it was not determined how he came to fall, the West Mercia force said.

Anyone who may have witnessed a crash, or saw the cyclist in the moments before falling, is asked to contact officers.
