Officers hurt as police car hits garden wall

A police car has crashed into the garden wall of a house in Lincoln while responding to an emergency call.

Lincolnshire Police said the car was using its blue lights when it collided with a car and then hit a wall and a telegraph pole on Newport.

The officers suffered minor injuries.

The road has been closed while the vehicle is being taken away.

Roy Temporal described hearing a loud thud

Local resident Roy Temporal, 82, a retired HGV driver, described hearing sirens followed by "a solid thud".

"It was that loud I knew there had been a crash," he said.
