Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man died and another was injured in a crash between two motorbikes and a car in Worcestershire.

Police were called to reports of the crash on the A44 in Cotheridge at about 18:45 BST on Thursday.

A man in his 50s who was riding one of the motorbikes died at the scene and a second motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with injuries to his leg.

West Mercia Police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the crash or the vehicles involved, to come forward.

The force said both motorbikes, a Honda and a Suzuki, were travelling towards Cotheridge, away from Worcester, while the car, a blue Renault Captur, was travelling in the opposite direction towards Worcester.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said an off-duty paramedic was performing CPR on one of the motorcyclists, who was in a critical condition, on their arrival.

However, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

PC Ashley Durkin, said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died, and the man who was injured.

"We are keen to establish how the collision has occurred and would urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision, may have seen the motorbikes or the car prior to the collision or who may have dashcam footage to please get in touch."
