Rail passengers are facing "major disruption" on routes around Birmingham after the death of a person on the line.
The incident, first reported just before midday, is expected to cause delays to services until 16:00 BST, National Rail said.
They added all lines between the two major stations have been shut and delays could be up to 60 minutes or diverted via Solihull.
British Transport Police told the BBC that "sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene", at Marston Green railway station. Their death was not being treated as suspicious, a spokesperson said.
They confirmed paramedics had been called in alongside officers and a file would now be prepared for the coroner.
National Rail say all these services have been affected:
Avanti West Coast services between Edinburgh, Glasgow Central, Birmingham New Street and London Euston
CrossCountry services between Manchester Piccadilly and Bournemouth
London Northwestern Railway services between Birmingham New Street and London Euston
Transport for Wales services between Aberystwyth, Shrewsbury, Holyhead and Birmingham International
West Midlands Railway services between Rugeley Trent Valley and Birmingham International
