Boy and man held after suspected arson attack on home

A 16-year-old boy and a 45-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire that injured five people at a home.

Three children were among those treated after the blaze in Halifax Road, Rochdale, at about 20:30 BST on Wednesday, Greater Manchester Police said.

Officers previously described the incident as “disturbing” and said the victims’ injuries were not life-changing.

The two suspects have since been bailed pending further inquiries.

Speaking at the time, the force said said the victims' injuries were not believed to be life-changing.
