A seaside town is preparing for its annual triathlon event, with a number of road closures announced ahead of the multisport endurance race.
Ironman 70.3 Weymouth is scheduled to go ahead on 14 September.
Participants in the event will take part in a 1.2-mile (1.9km) swim in Weymouth Bay, a 56-mile (90km) bike ride and a 13.1 (21km) mile run.
Dorset Council said its highways team will provide support on the day, with marshals at key points along the route.
Letters have been sent to 70,000 households to inform residents about the road closures, which will be in place during the race.
A live online map showing affected routes, external has also been created.
The council said diversions are not being suggested or signed because they are not a mandatory requirement.
It said drivers should make a judgement based on the roads closed and plan journeys around them.
Parking will also be affected, with Beach and Overcombe car parks shut on race day, while Lodmoor main car park will be closed from 19:00 BST on 9 September to 18:00 on 15 September.
Lodmoor coach, multiuse and motorhome sections will also be closed from 17:00 on 7 September to 18:00 on 16 September.
Access to both Weymouth and Dorchester HRCs recycling centres will also be affected on race day.
A council spokesperson said: "Whether you're planning to attend or not, please check the arrangements as they may affect your travel."
