A man has been arrested by police investigating the alleged sexual abuse of a girl two decades ago.
The 60-year-old man was arrested at an address in Beeston, Leeds, and bailed while inquiries continued, West Yorkshire Police said.
It follows an investigation into a report of non-recent child sexual abuse in the city between 2005 and 2007.
Det Sup Sarah Lambert, of Leeds District, said: "Protecting children and putting victims at the heart of our investigations is an absolute focus for West Yorkshire Police."
She said: "We are experienced at investigating both current and non-recent offences and support the national 'When you are ready' campaign which encourage victims and survivors of child sexual abuse to tell a friend, contact a support organisation and feel empowered to take that step, whenever they're ready to do so.
"If you do feel ready to make a report to the police then please be assured that your report will be treated sensitively and investigated by specially trained officers who will listen and support you."
