Changes to bus services through growing town

Bus services through a community being built have been reviewed

Leicestershire bus routes serving a growing estate are changing timetables in the new year.
A review of services at New Lubbesthorpe has been carried out, with changes coming in from 6 January.
As a result, the NovusFosse bus service to Fosse Park in Enderby will be scrapped, says operator Central Connect.
But it will be running an increased level of service on NovusDirect to Leicester city centre, with some journeys also extended to Brockington College to accommodate students.
The bus firm said passengers wanting to travel to Fosse Park should use the NovusDirect to Thorpe Astley and then change.
Martin Ward, on behalf of the New Lubbesthorpe landowner, Drummond Estate, said with more than 1,100 homes now occupied at the site, the changes would ensure "the development can be as sustainable as possible".
New Lubbesthorpe, south of Leicester Forest East, will eventually see 4,250 houses developed in phases over two decades.
Work on the project started in 2015, and the first families arrived in 2017.
